We should be able to lazy load the embded youtube/vimeo because it destroys our performance on Google PageSpeed. The solution already exists in full code with the implementation of a facade image where the client clicks and that loads the video only from that moment.

With the new lazy loading feature, video thumbnails will now only load when users come into view on the screen, which will significantly improve the page load time and overall user experience.
