Hi my friend, this is more about the global element, i suggest to use some Shopify apps to integrate Side Cart for example. GemPages can supports but will require you more effort to design and customize a side cart or popup. However I will note this, hopefully to get more votes from users.

To create a welcome page for your product and gather leads before it's available, you can use a Landing page combined with a Contact form. This way, you can describe your product and collect interested visitors' contact details without modifying your product detail page.

Currently, GemPages doesn't offer editing other pages; such as password page, thank you page, etc; on your theme. I've taken note of your post and will present your suggestion to GemPages' Product Development Team in the future.
