We’ve made several improvements to enhance performance, flexibility, and overall user experience:

  • Slider Upgrade: Replaced the Keen Slider library with Swiper.js for Carousel, Product List, and Product Images — delivering smoother transitions and faster loading times.

  • Product Image: Added configurable width, height, and padding options for navigation buttons in both Featured Image and Image List elements.

  • Carousel: Now supports renaming items directly within the carousel.

  • Image Upload: You can now upload images to Shopify from GemPages without automatic renaming, helping preserve your original SEO-friendly file names.

  • Publish Flow: Fixed an issue where translations from the Translate & Adapt app were not applied on the first publish.

  • Countdown Timer: Now supports second-level input for more precise timing.

  • App Integrations: Added and improved integrations with Kaching Subscription, BSS - BLOY Loyalty, UpPromote, and Cartly Slide.

  • Koala Bundle: Restricted the Koala Bundle Quantity Discount feature to be used only on Product pages.

  • Typography: Added responsive and percentage-based letter spacing support.

  • Layout Fix: Adjusted max-height settings to prevent text from being cut off on live pages.

  • Page Listing: Now displays the URL for landing pages directly in the page list.

We optimized our gp_lazyload script to reduce interaction delays on mobile devices. Previously, lazy loading of sections could overlap with user click events, causing higher INP scores and reduced performance. The script has been adjusted to prevent this conflict, resulting in significantly improved responsiveness:

  • iOS: average INP reduced to <250ms

  • Android: average INP reduced to <200ms

This ensures smoother interactions and better overall performance scores.
