There should be a way to connect an Image element directly to a metafield. You really should add this option to the interface. Otherwise, everything becomes unnecessarily complicated.
When I add an image to the page using a Custom Liquid element, the image appears to be of lower quality. However, if I upload an image directly to the page and use the Image element to display it, the image tends to be much sharper compared to the one displayed using the Custom Liquid element.
