We’ve made several improvements to enhance performance, flexibility, and overall user experience:

  • Slider Upgrade: Replaced the Keen Slider library with Swiper.js for Carousel, Product List, and Product Images β€” delivering smoother transitions and faster loading times.

  • Product Image: Added configurable width, height, and padding options for navigation buttons in both Featured Image and Image List elements.

  • Carousel: Now supports renaming items directly within the carousel.

  • Image Upload: You can now upload images to Shopify from GemPages without automatic renaming, helping preserve your original SEO-friendly file names.

  • Publish Flow: Fixed an issue where translations from the Translate & Adapt app were not applied on the first publish.

  • Countdown Timer: Now supports second-level input for more precise timing.

  • App Integrations: Added and improved integrations with Kaching Subscription, BSS - BLOY Loyalty, UpPromote, and Cartly Slide.

  • Koala Bundle: Restricted the Koala Bundle Quantity Discount feature to be used only on Product pages.

  • Typography: Added responsive and percentage-based letter spacing support.

  • Layout Fix: Adjusted max-height settings to prevent text from being cut off on live pages.

  • Page Listing: Now displays the URL for landing pages directly in the page list.

We optimized our gp_lazyload script to reduce interaction delays on mobile devices. Previously, lazy loading of sections could overlap with user click events, causing higher INP scores and reduced performance. The script has been adjusted to prevent this conflict, resulting in significantly improved responsiveness:

  • iOS: average INP reduced to <250ms

  • Android: average INP reduced to <200ms

This ensures smoother interactions and better overall performance scores.

1. New UI for Element Settings v7

A redesigned experience to help you design with more clarity and confidence

As GemPages has evolved, so have the elements you can use β€” from product swatches and bundles to dynamic product images. With that complexity came a growing need: how can we make all these powerful settings feel intuitive and easy to use?

New UI for Element Settings v7 is our answer. This redesign is an effort to simplify your workflow and make the editor more approachable β€” especially as we continue adding more ready-to-use, conversion-focused elements.

Why we redesigned the sidebar settings of the element:

We focused on clarity, consistency, and discoverability β€” so you can:

  • Get an overview of everything an element can do at a glance

  • Find what you need faster with a clearer, better-organized structure

  • Learn once, apply everywhere with a consistent UI across all elements

What’s changed:

  • Sidebar structure: We grouped related settings together. For example, when editing a carousel, you’ll now find all button styles (from icon to background) neatly under Navigation β€” no more jumping between sections.

  • Shared styling structure: Every element now follows a consistent pattern for basic styling: Size β†’ Background β†’ Shape β†’ Align. This makes it easier to learn and predict where things live.

  • New β€œEffects” group: Hover styles now live under Effects, giving you a clearer place to manage interactive states like hover or focus β€” especially helpful for users working with multiple states.

This new settings experience is built to reduce friction and make powerful features feel simple again. We’re building GemPages to help you move fast, stay creative, and design pages that convert. This release brings us one step closer.

2. Optimized Editor Performance

We also upgraded the editor’s performance β€” both in the codebase and in how resources load while you work.

We made hundreds of micro-adjustments under the hood, prioritizing what loads first and intelligently delaying what can wait β€” right up to the moment you need it.

That changes today. With our latest update, you can now seamlessly integrate a pre-sale page into your sales funnel. This new step allows you to educate and engage potential buyers before presenting your main offerβ€”following industry best practices for higher conversions.
