Option that allows selling of OOS Products

It would be extremely helpful to have an option that allows selling products even when Shopify shows them as “out of stock.”

In our case, inventory can’t be synced accurately because of complex fulfillment systems (working with multiple 3rd-party providers).

That means Shopify sometimes marks products as OOS even though we actually have stock available.

Right now, when we send paid traffic to a GemPages sales page, visitors can’t complete their checkout because Shopify blocks the purchase. This results in lost conversions and wasted ad spend.

Even if it’s not ideal, it would be great to have an override setting like “Allow purchase when OOS.” We can still fulfill the order manually — and if stock truly runs out, we notify the customer about a delay.

Having this option would make a big difference for stores using external inventory management or flexible fulfillment setups.
