Option to add any images to 'Product Images' modules

There is ‘Product Images’ carousel/product image gallery but it’s only possible to dynamically pull product images here.

Can we have these not part of the ‘Product’ section where we could actually pick and choose images we would like to add on these carousels/galleries.
